Mrs. Shammy Akter Bithy (Shammy Bithy) have completed her BSc and MS degree from the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, University of Chittagong, Bangladesh and started her research career in May 2016 at Laboratory of Eukaryotic Gene Expression and Function, BMB, CU. At EuGEF she was involved in number of projects. Earlier, she focused on Analysis of Risk Factors Associated with Hirschsprung’s Disease under the supervision of Dr. ASM Noman to identify highly responsible risk factors of this birth defects. She was actively involved in epidemiological field investigations on screening cancer and pediatric congenital disease patients with demographic data based on ethnic region in Bangladesh. Now, she is working as quality control officer at KR FlexiPack Ltd.
Outside the lab, she likes to read comic books and scientific articles.
