Embryonic Stem Cells

Eukaryotic Gene Expression and Function (EuGEF) research group is playing roles in the generation of new knowledge in life science, disseminating and transmitting them for grass root level people of the society. This research group is founded by Professor Dr. Abu Shadat Mohammod Noman and led by Drs. M Mosaraf Hossain, Srikanta Chowdhury, Moinul Islam, Ramendu Parial, and other young researchers. The mission of the EuGEF research group is to ensure a revolutionary change in health research with the aim of transmitting bench side findings to the translational level for ultimate social benefit. The consequences of this aim have a significant impact on achieving sustainable development goal-3 for Bangladesh. EuGEF has established groundbreaking trends in Bangladesh through sequential publications of accumulated research findings in high impactful MEDLINE life science journals and several ongoing patent disclosures. The group also implemented a global research culture within its territory through practicing scientific cultures including regular scientific meetings, seminars, workshops, and journal clubs. Besides research activities, the group is working for several visionary projects for Bangladesh including ATGC’B (Multi-Omics Cancer Study Program), Genome Bangladesh, Cancer Diagnostics and Infectious Disease Combat programs, and so on. The exceptional characteristic of this group is to take the challenges of the emergence of global health disparities. Currently, part of the group is working to bring innovative diagnostic strategies to face COVID-19 pandemic outbreaks.
