Maher Afrose, BSc

 

Research fellow & MS student

Ms. Maher Afrose received her BSc degree from the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, University of Chittagong. She started her research carrier since May 2018 at Laboratory of Eukaryotic Gene Expression and Function, BMB, CU Bangladesh. Currently, she is working on her MS thesis to uncover the effect of common chemotherapeutic drug of breast cancer on transcriptional status of Sonic Hedgehog (Shh) under the supervision of Dr. Srikanta Chowdhury. Besides she is actively engaged with EuGEF Research Group in several cancer related projects under the supervision of Dr. Abu Sadat Mohammod Noman, Dr. Muhammad Mosaraf Hossain and Dr. Srikanta Chowdhury. She was awarded National Science & Technology (NST) fellowship (2019-2020) to continue her current Master Thesis.

During her leisure time she loves to watch scientific movies, crafting, cooking, spending time with family & friends.
