Dr. Mohammed Moinul Islam is an Assistant Professor of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, University of Chittagong (BMBCU) since 2012. He has joined as a Lecturer in the same university in 2010. He has awarded his PhD degree from University of Fukui, Japan with MEXT scholarship for the tenure of four years from 2016 to 2020. Earlier, he has completed his four years undergraduate and one year Master of Science (MS) courses from University of Chittagong major in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Currently, Dr. Islam is manoeuvring his research in the field of Physiology at Eukaryotic gene expression and function (EuGEF) laboratory in University of Chittagong, Bangladesh. At present his research is focused on the Ca2+ dynamics in heart cells as well as in cancer cells. He presented his key research findings at reputed local and international conferences including 64th Annual Meeting of the Biophysical Society in San Diego, California and Physiological society of Japan. Dr. Islam has published about ten research articles in reputed journals.
